Chrysler Master Tech Service Confrence Library

The Master Tech Service Conference program was introduced by Chrysler Corporation in 1947 as a method to train dealership technicians on vehicle diagnostics and service procedures. The training material was developed by Chrysler and sent to every dealer’s service department to hold training sessions with their service technicians. They covered a different topic each month and were developed to be simple and easy to understand.

The Master Tech series featured a small wooden puppet named “Tech” or “Mister Tech”. With his gruff voice and no-nonsense approach, Tech was the spokesman for excellence in Chrysler customer service and provided the “Straight Dope” to aspiring service technicians. Tech was a mainstay in the MTSC training material from 1947 to 1975.

The MTSC training material is a valuable resource of information for the modern day Chrysler enthusiast. The MTSC training program continues to this day and is believed to be the longest running program of its kind in the auto industry.
